Tbilisi City Hall to begin resolving problem of cooperative house building

Tbilisi City Hall will begin working on resolution of problem of those people who became victims of cooperative house building in the 1990s – Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi Mayor said during the sitting of Tbilisi Government.

According to Kaladze, about 3 thousand families in Tbilisi are facing the problem. These people have been waiting for flats for 20-25 years from the government. Some land plots where houses had to be built were privatized during the rule of National Movement Party.

Tbilisi Mayor said that at the initial stage at least 800 families having lover social points would receive flats with the resource of land plots of 16 hectares currently being in property of Municipality.

Kaladze also said that developing companies would be selected on competitiveness principle.
