Tbilisi City Court rejects Strong Georgia and ISFED lawsuit against CEC resolution

Tbilisi City Court has rejected the lawsuit filed by the Strong Georgia coalition and ISFED seeking the partial annulment of a resolution adopted by the Central Election Commission (CEC). The judge announced the decision just minutes ago.

The plaintiffs had challenged the resolution, which introduced restrictions on individuals authorized to be present at polling stations on Election Day. According to the resolution, observers are no longer allowed to take a voter’s identity document within the polling station.
