“We condemn Georgia’s disinformation against the EU and its ambassador in Tbilisi,” reads the statement of the Swedish Foreign Affairs Ministry posted on the X Platform.

The Swedish Foreign Ministry shared the statement by Anouar El Anouni, Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, which says: “The EU firmly rejects and condemns the disinformation and baseless accusations by the Georgian authorities regarding the EU’s role in Georgia.”

“We strongly denounce the personal attacks against the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia. The Ambassador plays a vital role in fostering relations between the EU and Georgia. He enjoys the full trust and support of the EU,” reads the statement published on July 25 by the European Union External Action Service (EEAS).
