Strong Georgia's Elisashvili believes participation in local elections could weaken regime
“We want to form a big opposition unity, exchange arguments with colleagues and agree on a united fighting strategy,” said Aleko Elisashvili, one of the leaders of the Strong Georgia coalition.
According to Elisashvili, opposition parties are engaged in “serious discussions” over participation or boycotting municipal elections.
“We believe that with the participation in local elections and by taking correct steps, we can harm and weaken this Russian, treacherous regime. We are engaged in an exchange of opinions and arguments and will announce our decision shortly.
We also want to hear the opinion of the opposition colleagues regarding the strategy of the struggle, their vision, and we are still at this stage,” he said.
