De facto government of the occupied Tskhinvali stated that the primary cause of the death of Archil Tatunashvili was the heart attack, – the statement published by the Georgia’s State Security Service reads.

De facto authorities rejected the request of the State Security Service on allowing the representatives of Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau at the site in order to conduct primary examination of the body.

The principal demand of the State Security Service is to transfer Archil Tatunashvili ‘s body and release Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili in the shortest possible period.

“After activation of the “hot line” mechanism by the State Security Service, the de facto government said that the primary cause of the death of Archil Tatunashvili, the citizen of Georgia illegally detained on February 22, was heart attack. De facto authorities rejected the request of the State Security Service on allowing the representatives of Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau at the site in order to conduct primary examination of the body.

The statement made by the de facto authorities and the information released in various media sources as if Archil Tatunashvili cooperated with Georgian special services and participated in the so-called Ossetian nation’s so-called genocide represent fabrication and deliberate attempt to distort the facts” – the statement released by the State Security Service reads.
