State Minister says IDPs have chance to join health programs

Georgian State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Tea Akhvlediani visited a temporary facility, “Peaceful and Business Caucasus,” providing medical services to IDPs from occupied regions in Kutaisi, the Imereti region.

Tea Akhvlediani inspected the rehabilitation works, updated infrastructure, including the space adapted for disabled people, and met the patients and their accompanying persons.

The State Minister said that improving social conditions and access to quality medical services for the conflict-affected population were among the top priorities of the Georgian government.

“In terms of promoting access to medical services, IDPs who migrated from occupied regions have the opportunity to participate in various healthcare programs and receive highly qualified services tailored to their needs and interests. Within the peace policy, we will continue our efforts to support and help the population living in the occupied regions,” she said.

The Georgian government transferred the Kutaisi building with the right of temporary use.
