State flag lowered at half-mast at Presidential Palace

The Georgian state flag is lowered at half-mast at the Presidential Palace in commemoration of the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war victims.

At the order of the Georgian government, signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, state flags were lowered at all administrative buildings throughout Georgia to commemorate those who died as a result of the large-scale Russian military intervention to occupy Georgia’s Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions unlawfully.
