Starting 2019, employer will be obligated to provide employee with insurance in case of unfortunate incident

Starting January 1, 2019, an employer will be obligated to provide an employee with the medical insurance in case of an unfortunate incident – Tamila Barkalaia, Deputy Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs said.

Compulsory medical insurance in case of an ill-fated accident is envisaged by Georgian Law on Labor Safety.

The meeting at Health Ministry was attended by representatives of business unions and insurance companies.
