Speaker Papuashvili: UNM once again; same architects of torture, racketeering, and media control resurface with same agenda

“The same individuals who established a system of torture, business racketeering, and media hijacking in Georgia have reunited today, attempting to operate with exactly the same plan as before,” stated Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, in response to journalists regarding the visit of members of the “Opposition Alliance” to the United States.

According to Papuashvili, the National Movement is once again united.

“We face a united National Movement again. The same individuals who established a system of torture, business racketeering, and media hijacking in Georgia have come together again today, attempting to proceed with exactly the same plan they pursued back then, openly admitting that they intended to present their plans for the transfer of power to their foreign masters and to act according to the instructions received from abroad. This is the clearest illustration. We thank them for demonstrating that the games they played, suggesting that the United National Movement had split, disbanded, or dissolved, are over, and that we now have a united National Movement once again. It has become clearer to our population what kind of force we are dealing with,” said Shalva Papuashvili.

For context, Tamar Chergoleishvili, leader of the Federalists party, stated on March 31: “Members of the Opposition Alliance are travelling to the United States for one purpose, to present a plan for how we intend to change the government.”
