Speaker: Everyone knew October 4 plan, assembled to play Nepal scenario in Georgia
“Everyone knew everything before October 4, and on October 4, and they know best of all after October 4,” writes Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, on social media.
Shalva Papuashvili has released a video which, according to him, clearly demonstrates that among the several thousand people gathered at 4 o’clock on October 4, not a single individual objected to the plan.
“Before October 4, everyone knew they were gathering to turn their own country into Nepal. On October 4, everyone who attended the rally heard the question: Do you want to play the Nepal scenario? And everyone chanted: Yes. The lots were cast, and the ‘unstoppable river’ of those who would destroy the country flowed from Freedom Square towards the Georgian Presidential Palace to storm it.
What followed would be the assault on the palace, burning barricades, leaders who fled, 25 injured police officers, and a coup d’état that broke its neck on their heroism. This video clearly shows that among the several thousand people gathered at 4 o’clock on October 4, not a single individual has dissented. Not a doctor, not a solicitor.
In this ‘river of people’, there wasn’t one person who swam against the current. You may not recognise others in this video, but surely everyone can recognise themselves and their place. Therefore, this video will remain part of their personal history, as a reminder to each person gathered there that on October 4, at four in the afternoon, they failed to destroy their own country’s future,” writes Shalva Papuashvili.
