Speaker: Every initiative by Bidzina Ivanishvili is ground-breaking, shouldering main burden
“I am delighted to be here today for the opening of this magnificent complex, which represents, one might say, the pinnacle of Georgian traditional and contemporary hospitality,” stated Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, during his address at the opening ceremony of the Paragraph Gold & Spa Tabori hotel.
According to Papuashvili, the Tabori Mountain project most clearly embodies this vision, which has been realised through knowledge, purpose and love for the homeland, and which will serve as the foundation for many similar endeavours in the future.
He added that the fruits of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s labour are visible not only here but throughout the country, at various locations across Georgia.
“I am delighted to be here today for the opening of this magnificent complex, which represents, one might say, the pinnacle of Georgian traditional and contemporary hospitality. As a nation renowned for its hospitality, we must strive for the comprehensive development of all levels of tourist infrastructure, from catering to backpackers, through mid-range hotel chains, local wineries, resorts, and historic monuments, to ultra-modern facilities such as this splendid Tabori complex. All of this together constitutes the unique charm, beauty and appeal of our homeland.
The Tabori Mountain project, which opens today, most clearly embodies this vision, realised through knowledge, purpose and love for the homeland, and which will serve as the foundation for many similar endeavours in the future. This successfully implemented project is Bidzina Ivanishvili’s vision, a far-sighted plan he conceived ten years ago and patiently and steadfastly brought to fruition. The fruits of his labour are visible not only here but throughout the country, at various locations across Georgia. The initiatives launched by Bidzina Ivanishvili are not ordinary projects.
Over recent decades, he has carefully selected those spheres that were strategically or culturally-historically important for the country, particularly where the state and business lacked sufficient resources. This is why each of his initiatives is ground-breaking, shouldering the main burden, the principal effort and the foundational investment, thereby opening the way for others.
Precisely, projects like the Black Sea Arena and Paragraph Shekvetili have been transformative for the Black Sea coast; the Abastumani initiative will serve a similar purpose for Samtskhe-Javakheti, while Kutaisi International University will do so for Imereti. Likewise, this magnificent Tabori complex stands as a landmark for Tbilisi.
These projects are the foundation for future endeavours that subsequent generations of Georgians must inherit and continue,” Papuashvili declared.
As Shalva Papuashvili noted during his address, 13 years ago, Georgia freed itself from a regime that despised everything Georgian and from the role of being a pawn in others’ games.
“Back then, too, Bidzina Ivanishvili shouldered the ground-breaking role and opened the way for building a state based on national interests and caring for its people. For 13 years, despite all internal and external opposition, through our labour, love for our country and dedication to the cause, we have striven to build such a state. We are succeeding in this; people see it and appreciate it.
We stand at a historic location that has witnessed many Georgian battles and heroic deeds. Our struggle today is for the preservation of peace and prosperity, which is called nation-building. This must become the foundation for Georgia’s unification and strength. This magnificent complex, as a true symbol of the policy being pursued, will herald Georgia’s victory and transformation,” Shalva Papuashvili declared.
