The National Food Agency said the batch of “Soplis Nobati” milk containing Aflatoxin M1 has been fully removed from the sales.

“Currently, all Soplis Nobati producst on the market (milk, matsoni, sour cream, cottage cheese, etc.) meet all safety regulations.

“The National Food Agency inspects milk processing enterprises at least four times every year.

Last year, the agency examined the milk production companies roughly 1,500 times and collected 1,031 samples, including 15 inspections of ‘Wimm-Bill-Dann Georgia’ (inspections, documents verification, and sample testing for different indicators, including aflatoxin), with no violations found.

The National Food Agency has been testing milk for aflatoxin content per European Union regulations since 2022,” the agency added.
