Senator Jim Risch: By passing law Georgian gov’t made clear it isn’t interested in European future
“The government of Georgia made clear it isn’t interested in a European future,” the US Senator, and member of the Foreign Relations Committee, Jim Risch, writes on the social network.
“Today, by passing a law that would greatly damage civil society, the government of Georgia made clear it isn’t interested in a European future. This is a massive slap in the face to the 80% of Georgians who want EU membership,” the US Senator wrote.
Georgian Parliament adopted the draft bill On Transparency of Foreign Influence with the third reading at the plenary on Tuesday.
