A business tour for American and British film producers was held in Georgia, organised as part of the Film in Georgia programme by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development’s Produce in Georgia agency.

The delegation included Gareth Pritchard, a representative of the British company Sankara Pictures, whose company is considering the implementation of two film projects in Georgia.

“I learned about Georgia from my colleague, who filmed in your country three years ago. He recommended I visit Georgia. Here is everything any film crew needs, including excellent filming locations. Incidentally, I found a location that will be extraordinary for our new film, which we plan to shoot next year. I’ve already written to the film’s director and told him that this is the place we were looking for,” noted Gareth Pritchard.

Sixty-five film projects have been supported within the Film in Georgia programme’s framework, whilst the volume of investment realised exceeded GEL 200 million.
