Sanctions to be increased for driving under influence of alcohol or violation of speed limit

Additional 5 thousand cameras will have been installed by the end of the year across the country with the purpose of decrease of road accidents –Nino Javakhade, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs said at National Center for Diseases Control within the framework of the 5th Week of Road Safety.

According to Javakhadze, the number of patrol crews will be also increased both in Tbilisi and regions and legislative changes will be carried out that envisage increase of sanctions for driving under the influence of alcohol or violation of speed limit by drivers.
