Salome Zurabishvili: Who named Kodori Gorge Upper Kodori, who expanded conflict zone and renamed Tskhinvali region as South Ossetia, these questions should be answered

Who named Kodori Gorge Upper Kodori, who expanded conflict zone and officially renamed Tskhinvali region as South Ossetia, who left our expensive weapons in Kojori and who left our boys in the forest, these questions should be answered unconditionally, – Salome Zurabishvili, an independent presidential candidate made this statement at the presentation of her campaign headquarters today.

According to  Zurabishvili, about the war with respect to her “persistent and pointless questions based on words out of the context are heard”.

As she noted there are many other questions that should be answered.

“Why did not the previous authorities listen to what our American and European partners recommended us on a daily basis? Why did the government not declare Russia as an aggressor immediately, and waited three days? Who was the aggressor, that time we had heard such statements – Russia did not know, the separatists were guilty and Russia could not seem to control them. These were heard from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of the Conflict and the President” – Zurabishvili said.

In addition, one of the questions of the independent presidential candidate is why no one addressed the international community on the very first day when Russia started the war.

According to Zurabishvili many questions should be answered.

“Who named Kodori Gorge Upper Kodori, who expanded conflict zone and officially renamed Tskhinvali region as South Ossetia, who left our expensive weapons in Kojori and who left our boys in the forest, these questions should be answered unconditionally” – she said.
