Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, Georgian-French bilateral relations and the current situation in the region, – these issues were discussed during the meeting between President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili and the President of French Senate Gérard Larcher in Paris today.
According to the Press Office of President Administration, during the meeting, Salome Zurabishvili noted that Georgia needs the support of France, as one of the important EU countries, in the direction to strengthen European integration and Atlantic aspirations, as well as to deal with threats facing Georgia.
The talks also focused on ongoing reforms, parliamentary cooperation and the steps taken by the country in terms of integration into the EU.
President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili has started an official visit to France today. Zurabishvili arrived in France yesterday. President, along with her children, attended a service in Saint Nino Orthodox Church in Paris and visited the Georgian Estate in Leuville.
