Ex-President Zourabichvili attends Munich Security Conference

Former Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili is attending the Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Germany, where she holds meetings.

According to her press service, Zourabichvili will participate in the conference and meet with European leaders, the U.S. delegation, and officials from the European Union and international organizations. She will also take part in panel discussions titled Spotlight Georgia and Russian Hybrid Tactics. Zourabichvili will address Georgia’s current challenges.

Additionally, the ex-president will meet with members of the Georgian diaspora in Munich.

The Munich Security Conference opened in Germany today. According to the MSC’s website, the event is taking place at a crucial time of change with the new U.S. administration having taken office in January, a new legislative cycle beginning for the European Parliament in Brussels, and parliamentary elections in Germany scheduled for the week after the conference.

The first day of the conference focuses on global security challenges, including governance, democratic resilience, and climate security. Saturday’s discussions will cover international order, regional conflicts, and the transatlantic partnership, while Sunday will conclude with a debate on Europe’s global role.
