Russia thanks Georgia for assistance in the repatriation of Russian citizens amid pandemic

“Russian Foreign Ministry thanks Georgia for the return of Russian seamen from Nigeria on a repatriation flight, as well as for assistance in the repatriation of Russian citizens from Georgia amid coronavirus pandemic,”  Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing today.

As Maria Zakharova stressed: “It is important that we have managed to establish humanitarian cooperation despite a tough political situation between Russia and Georgia.”

“We believe that this is the example of how we must act when misfortune comes to all, it would be great if we didn’t wait for a next one, but used this experience day by day. We expect that this experience will be in demand after pandemic ends,” Zakharova said.
