Twelve artificial-cover rugby stadiums of modern standards will be constructed in Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia, the Ministry of Infrastructure announced.
Three stadiums will be constructed in Tbilisi, while others – in Tserovani, Tskaltubo, Gurjaani, Sachkhere, Kazbegi, Lentekhi, Ambrolauri, Surami, and Tsageri.
The Ministry will prepare stadium projects for Sagarejo, Khashuri, Ozurgeti and Bolnisi. It will design the Varketili stadium of natural cover, which will also serve international games.
“The construction of rugby fields across the country is significant for the development of sports infrastructure, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among young people, and the further strengthening of the country’s rugby traditions,” the Ministry said.
