Roman Gotsiridze – Government must apply to international community to impose sanctions against Russia

The Georgian government must apply to the international community to impose sanctions against Russia due to the continuous creeping occupation – Roman Gotsiridze, Chairman of National Movement Parliamentary Faction said after the meeting with members of the Swedish parliamentary delegation.

“If Russia is not frightened, then what is a restraint factor to avert alarming developments? The process will continue and the border may reach the highway connecting east and west Georgia,”   Gotsiridze said.

MP added that the Georgian government remained passive and was guilty of the latest developments at the occupational line.

Andreas Norlén, Chairman of Parliament of Sweden, being on an official visit in Georgia, held a meeting with Archil Talakvadze, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament earlier this afternoon. MPs of the National Movement and the European Georgia parties also participated in the meeting.
