Roads Department announces tender for Samtredia–Zugdidi road project
The Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia has announced an international tender for the preparation of a construction project for the Samtredia–Zugdidi road, the agency reported.
According to the Roads Department, the project is divided into three sections: the Samtredia–Poti junction, the Poti junction–Anaklia junction, and the Anaklia junction–Zugdidi–Rukhi section.
The Samtredia–Poti junction section begins in the city of Samtredia, runs almost parallel to the Tbilisi–Senaki–Leselidze international highway from the southeast, and ends at the Poti junction near the village of Teklati, where it connects to the Senaki–Poti–Sarpi international road. This section will be approximately 34.4 kilometers long.
The Poti junction–Anaklia junction section, measuring around 23 kilometers, continues from the Samtredia–Poti segment, runs almost parallel to the Tbilisi–Senaki–Leselidze highway from the southwest, and ends at the Anaklia junction.
The Anaklia junction–Zugdidi–Rukhi section will extend approximately 19.3 kilometers. It continues from the Poti–Anaklia segment, runs along the Tbilisi–Senaki–Leselidze international road from the west, and ends in the village of Rukhi, where it reconnects with the same international highway.
The tender covers consulting services for the preparation of detailed design documentation and the provision of author supervision services for the construction of the Samtredia–Poti junction–Anaklia junction–Zugdidi–Rukhi route. The project preparation period is set at 24 months.
Interested parties are required to submit their tender proposals by 18:00 on February 24, 2026.
