Registration for fall 2026-2027 student mobility begins
Registration for students seeking mobility for the fall semester of the 2026-2027 academic year has begun today on the electronic portal students.emis.ge and will remain open until September 8 at 6:00 p.m.
According to the Education Management Information System (EMIS), students may select up to five educational programs during registration and rank them according to priority.
As part of the higher education reform, students whose status has been suspended will also be eligible for mobility if their university has been restricted from admitting students to their educational program in the 2026-2027 academic year and, for this reason, they cannot have their student status restored. They will be allowed to apply for mobility without the requirement to have completed one year of study.
A registration fee of GEL 40, established by law, is required to participate in the mobility competition. Students whose families are registered in the unified database of socially vulnerable families and have a rating score of no more than 70,000 are exempt from the fee.
The mobility fee can be paid at Bank of Georgia branches, self-service terminals, as well as through internet banking, mobile banking or BOGPAY.GE.
Students seeking mobility to undergraduate arts, creative or sports educational programs must pass an internal competition organized by the receiving higher education institution before the electronic registration deadline. Detailed information about the internal competition should be obtained directly from the relevant university. Based on the results of the internal competition, students must indicate on the mobility portal the educational program for which they received the institution’s approval.
Students will be able to view the mobility results on their personal registration pages on the electronic portal on September 11.
If the mobility result is positive, students must immediately submit a written application to the receiving higher education institution and provide copies of their personal files.
Students must also review information on the credits recognized by the receiving institution based on the mobility results and confirm their acceptance or refusal in writing.
