Rain, thunderstorms, and wind expected across most of Georgia from October 12 evening to October 13
The National Environmental Agency (NEA) has issued a warning to the public regarding the approaching weather conditions.
“From the evening of October 12 through to the end of October 13, most regions of Georgia are expected to experience rainfall, with some areas facing heavy showers. Thunderstorms and occasional strengthening winds are also anticipated. In eastern Georgia, hail may occur during the day, and at sea, storm surges of 3-4 points could develop.
The projected rainfall may lead to significant rises in river water levels across Georgia, potential flash floods on smaller rivers, and the activation of landslide and sandstorm processes in hilly and mountainous regions (medium danger level),” the National Environmental Agency stated.
