Media representatives are holding a protest rally at the Georgian parliament building on central Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi.
They demand investigation of the violent attacks against journalists on July 5 in Tbilisi and resignation of Prime Minister Irakli Garibahvili.
Representatives of some opposition parties joined the media protest.
Fifty-five persons, among them fifty-three media representatives, including the GPB cameraman, were assaulted during the anti-Tbilisi Pride rally on July 5, according to the Interior Ministry. Tbilisi Pride cancelled the scheduled march amid violent protests.
