Members of “Make a Change,” “It is a Shame” and “Dare” Movements held an activity in solidarity to street vendors and Malkhaz Machalikashvili, father of Temirlan Machalikashvili, a 19-year-old youth killed in a special operation in Pankisi Gorge.
Protesters demanded extension of the right of trading for street vendors at First Republic Square till January 15. The other demand participants of the activity voiced was working out of new regulations about street vending in 1-month term.
“If Kaladze (Tbilisi Mayor) does not satisfy the demand and allows street vending at First Republican Square till January 15, we will hold the protest at his house,” claimed Lasha Chkhartishvili, a member of Labor Party and one of the organizers of the protest.
