Protest at Atoneli Presidential Residence

Protest with the slogan “Be on Women’s Side” was held at Atoneli Presidential Residence earlier this afternoon. Organizers of the activity expressed protest over the appointment of Dimitri Gabunia as Parliamentary Secretary by President Salome Zurabishvili.

Protest participants claimed that with his statements, Gabunia tried to normalize sexual harassment. They said that “Woman’s Movement” invited Salome Zurabishvili to hold public debates in the pre-election period but the only female presidential candidate rejected their offer.

Within the framework of the campaign #metoo, the protest participant urged President for dismissal of Gabunia from the post.
