Protest at Adjara Supreme Council

Representatives of Imokmede (Take Action) and Alternative organizations are holding a protest rally at the building of Adjara Supreme Council.

Protesters brought trash bins and claimed that this was the place of the council members. “The history will throw the Communist members of Adjara Supreme Council in such trash bins sooner or later,” Khatuna Beridze, Founder of the Alternative, said.

Tensions went high when a citizen accused the protesters of destructive behavior and organizing disorder. The police eased the verbal confrontation.

The Adjara Supreme Council will hold its first sitting today.
