Prosecutor’s Office: Man convicted of raping minor child, sentenced to life imprisonment

The Kutaisi City Court has fully accepted the evidence presented by the Prosecutor’s Office and found the accused guilty of raping a minor.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, the evidence examined during the court proceedings demonstrated that the defendant systematically assaulted his minor child, using violence and exploiting the victim’s age and vulnerability.

“Law enforcement officers apprehended the accused on August 23, 2025. He was charged under Article 11, Part 3, Subparagraphs ‘e’ and ‘g’ of Part 4, Part 137 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (rape committed against a minor family member) and was detained as a preventive measure.

The Kutaisi City Court found the accused entirely guilty of the charges and sentenced him to life imprisonment,” the Prosecutor’s Office stated.
