Prosecutor’s Office charges 14 individuals with drug trafficking and possession

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has filed charges against 14 individuals for the illegal purchase, possession, and distribution of large and especially large quantities of narcotic substances.

According to the statement, an investigation carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed that the suspects had illegally acquired and stored various types and amounts of narcotics, which they later sold unlawfully.

The seized substances include: Up to 6.23 grams of heroin; up to 15.3 grams of pregabalin; up to 0.81 grams of alpha-PVP; 0.1158 grams of morphine base; 0.614 grams of codeine base; 0.165 grams of fentanyl, and up to 115 grams of dried marijuana

At the request of the prosecution, the court has already imposed pre-trial detention as a preventive measure for all suspects.
