Prosecutor Nadareishvili: Zurab Adeishvili convicted and found guilty in three separate cases
Irakli Nadareishvili, head of the Department to Investigate Offences Committed in the Course of Legal Proceedings, addressed the investigative commission studying the activities of the 2003-2012 government.
Nadareishvili outlined three criminal cases involving former Prosecutor General Zurab Adeishvili, which have led to guilty verdicts in all instances. He emphasized the department’s role in exposing high-ranking officials, highlighting the cooperation of public servants that helped unravel these cases.
“As a result of this department’s work, former Prosecutor General Zurab Adeishvili was brought to justice in three separate criminal cases, and a guilty verdict has been reached in all of them. We remind you that these cases involved the seizure of the Akura wine factory and the TV company Iberia, and the illegal detention and abuse of Koba Davitashvili.
The Akura wine factory case has become one of the most notable examples of the department’s work, where state structures, including law enforcement agencies, coordinated efforts to transfer privately owned properties to state ownership,” stated Irakli Nadareishvili.
