In connection with the Day of Family Sancitty and Respect for Parents, observed on May 17 annually, public processions will be held in 10 cities of Georgia.

According to the press service of the Georgian Patriarchate, public convention will start at 10 a.m., while processions will simultaneously kick off at 11 a.m.

The processions will be held in Tbilisi – Kashueti Church, Rustavi – City Hall, Kutaisi – Aghmashenebeli Church, Gori-Easter Church, Batumi-Cathedral, Akhaltsikhe – Ascention Church, Zugdidi – Dadianebi Temple, Telavi -Virgin Mary Church, Mtskheta – Teatroni, Ozurgeti – Cathedral.

The public conventions and processions will be held with the blessing of the newly enthroned Catholicos-Patriarch Shio III.

Also, on May 17, Patriarch Shio III will hold a festive sermon at the Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral, which will be attended by delegations of churches from different countries.
