Prime Minister inspects newly refurbished Public Schools No. 4 and No. 5 in Batumi

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, alongside Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Zurab Pataradze, and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara Tsotne Ananidze, inspected the newly refurbished Public Schools No. 4 and No. 5 in Batumi.

The head of government congratulated teachers and pupils on the new academic year in fully modernised surroundings, wishing them every success in their studies.

During the visit, the Prime Minister was briefed on the extensive infrastructure upgrades completed across both educational facilities.

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF), through joint co-financing from the Government of Georgia and the World Bank, carried out the structural rehabilitation.

According to the Government Administration, the project delivered a complete overhaul of both facilities. The upgrade features state-of-the-art internal and external learning environments, modernised classrooms, new sports pitches, and landscaped grounds. Plumbing, heating, and drainage systems were entirely replaced, while both schools were rendered fully accessible for pupils with special educational needs.
