Presidents of Georgia, Azerbaijan hold conversation through video call

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili has made a video call with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

According to the Presidential Administration, Salome Zurabishvili noted that solidarity at all levels, including regional solidarity, is much more important in the new situation created in the world today.

“Salome Zurabishvili thanked Ilham Aliyev for the act of solidarity carried out yesterday and noted that the lighting of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Azerbaijan in the colors of the Georgian flag is an expression of support for Georgia and the best message of solidarity.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the measures taken against novel coronavirus in Georgia. The presidents also discussed issues of regional solidarity.

The President of Georgia expressed hope that the difficult situation caused by the coronavirus will end quickly, regional visits will be a priority on the renewed political agenda, and the visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Georgia will take place,” Presidential Administration said.
