Health Minister meets ADB Country Director

Mikheil Sarjveladze, Georgian Minister of Health, met Lesley Bearman Lahm, the Country Director for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Resident Mission in Georgia.

The sides touched on cooperation issues within the healthcare sector’s strengthening the program that aims to improve the quality of medical service.

With the support of the ADB, the Ministry prepared the Public Health Risk Management Action Plan 2024-2030, Action Plan for Adaptation to the Consequences of Climate Change in the Healthcare Sector 2025-2027, etc.

Mikheil Sarjveladze noted that the ADB is a significant partner and expressed readiness to continue active cooperation, while ADB representatives positively assessed the implemented and ongoing reforms.

Head of the Strategic Development and Analytics Department of the Health Ministry, Lela Sulaberidze and healthcare expert Akaki Zoidze attended the meeting.
