President of Germany to arrive in Georgia with official visit

Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany will arrive in Georgia with an official visit together with his wife Elke Büdenbende on October 6.

The official hosting ceremony will take place at the Presidential Residence. The Georgian and German presidents will hold meetings in face-to-face and expanded formats. The two presidents will then make joint statements for the media.

According to the Presidential Administration, Frank-Walter Steinmeier will meet with Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II and Georgian businesspersons in Tbilisi.

Within the framework of the Georgian visit, President of Germany will arrive in the eastern Kakheti region and tour about several wine-producing companies. He will also visit Alaverdi Monastery and King Erekle II museum.
