President of Georgia – I made the decision on pardoning independently and notified Parliament Speaker, PM and Chairman of Georgian Dream

Georgia’s President Salome Zurabishvili claims that she made the decision on pardoning of Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia Party and Irakli Okruashvili, former Defense Minister, independently.

As President said in an interview with Rustavi-2 TV Company, she had notified Parliament Speaker, PM and Chairman of Georgian Dream Party about the decision.

“I thought about the decision much and when I became sure that the decision was necessary informed the branches and institutions of the country since the decision did not have to be unexpected,” Zurabishvili said.
