President Mikheil Kavelashvili awards Order of Excellence to Professor Nugzar Uberi

Upon the joint nomination of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili has conferred the Order of Excellence upon Professor Nugzar Uberi, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor Emeritus at Tbilisi State Medical University, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the advancement of medicine, distinguished scientific achievements, and pre-eminent service to Georgia.

According to the Presidential Administration, the official ceremony was attended by Head of the Presidential Administration Luka Ekhvaia, Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs Mikheil Sarjveladze, and members of Professor Uberi’s family.

The President thanked Professor Uberi for his decades of dedicated professional and scientific service, highlighting his invaluable contribution to the development of Georgian paediatrics and medical education.
