President Kavelashvili meets with Kazakh Parliament Chairman

President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, met with the Chairman of the Mazhilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan, Erlan Qoşanov.

During their discussion, both parties highlighted the longstanding friendship and fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan.

It was emphasised that Georgia and Kazakhstan are reliable trading partners, with bilateral trade volumes experiencing rapid growth in recent times.

In his remarks, President Kavelashvili underlined the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation across political, economic, and cultural spheres. He also expressed gratitude to Chairman Qoşanov for his unwavering and consistent support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“We believe there is a valuable opportunity to expand and deepen our friendship and partnership, elevating our collaboration to new heights. With this in mind, we are committed to exploring new, promising areas of cooperation and further strengthening our existing ties.
We are ready to deepen our bilateral ties across political, economic, and cultural domains, harnessing the potential of the South Caucasus and Central Asian regions to create greater prosperity for our nations.

In times of geopolitical turbulence, our countries and peoples recognise the vital importance of peace and economic stability. Therefore, our relationship must be directed towards supporting peace initiatives and pragmatic economic cooperation,” the President of Georgia stated.
