President Kavelashvili meets Georgia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Azerbaijan

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Giorgi Zakarashvili, Georgia’s newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to a statement by the President’s Administration, the meeting at the Presidential Palace focused on the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan and prospects for further deepening bilateral relations.

“Emphasis was placed on the long-standing friendly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, alongside the role played by both nations in promoting regional peace, stability, and economic development.

The President of Georgia congratulated Giorgi Zakarashvili on embarking upon his diplomatic mission and wished him every success in his future endeavours,” the press release from the Administration of the President of Georgia read.
