President Kavelashvili: Georgia and Azerbaijan face double standards and external interference

“Regrettably, our countries have recently become targets of external interference and double standards regarding our internal affairs. Despite numerous attempts to undermine us, we are committed to addressing these threats head-on,” Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili stated during a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.

Kavelashvili asserted that a shared future lies in the establishment of a successful, economically robust, and prosperous South Caucasus region.

“The enduring friendship between our nations and our shared, sensible policies have allowed us to accurately identify our region’s role on the global stage. I firmly believe that our common future encompasses a thriving South Caucasus, where our people can coexist harmoniously with their own customs and traditions rather than being subjected to imposed pseudo-liberal values.

As I mentioned, our countries have unfortunately been confronted with double standards and external meddling, but we are steadfast in our efforts to secure the region’s stability and security. No third country or organization can understand what is best for our people better than we do,” Mikheil Kavelashvili emphasized.
