President Kavelashvili attends premiere of ‘Aluda’ at Telavi Vazha-Pshavela State Drama Theatre
Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, accompanied by his children, attended the premiere of the play Aluda at the Telavi Vazha-Pshavela State Drama Theatre.
The event was also attended by Giorgi Aladashvili, the State Representative for the Kakheti Region, along with representatives from legislative and local authorities, as well as members of the clergy.
This production marked the opening of the theatre’s 131st season, with the play staged by the theatre’s artistic director, Nanuka Khuskivadze.
The President of Georgia expressed his gratitude to the cast for their performance and extended his best wishes for their continued success.
“I am truly impressed. I want to thank the actors, the entire troupe, and the artistic director for presenting Vazha-Pshavela’s magnificent poem Aluda Ketelauri in such an engaging manner. Many young people attended today’s performance. Theatre is a powerful force that provides spiritual nourishment. Once again, I thank the troupe for this outstanding production,” stated the President.
