Police seize large quantity of drugs in Tbilisi, five individuals arrested

Following a series of targeted operational measures and investigative actions, officers from the Gldani-Nadzaladevi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department, under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, have apprehended five individuals identified as S.Ts., born in 2006, V.R., born in 2000, S.M., born in 2006, and two previously convicted persons, M.O., born in 1995, and T.T., born in 1997. They are suspected of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage, and sale of a significant quantity of drugs.

The offence carries a penalty of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment.

During searches of the suspects’ personal residences, vehicles, and through an investigative operation, law enforcement officers recovered a substantial amount of various drugs prepared for sale from the locations identified by the suspects. The seized substances include Methadone, Alpha-PVP, and dried cannabis.

The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260-Quarter of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
