Ministry of Internal Affairs officers have arrested two individuals in Imereti on drug-related charges.
The crime carries a penalty of up to 12 years imprisonment.
T.K., born in 1975, and L.G., born in 1970 (previously convicted), have been arrested on charges of illegal purchase and possession of drugs in large and particularly large quantities, and illegal cultivation of drug-containing plants.
During the search, law enforcement officers seized 207 cannabis plants containing narcotic substances and dried marijuana.
The investigation is ongoing under Article 265a, Part 3, Subparagraph “a,” Article 260, Part 1, and Article 260, Part 2, Subparagraph “a” of Georgia’s Criminal Code.
