Police seize 108 packages of narcotics and arrest two Ukrainian citizens in Tbilisi
Officers from the Tbilisi Main Division of the Patrol Police Department have apprehended two Ukrainian nationals, born in 1992 and 1985, on charges of orchestrating the large-scale illegal purchase, storage, and distribution of narcotics.
Law enforcement officials confiscated 108 packages of methadone prepared for sale from the defendants’ personal and temporary residences, as well as various locations across Tbilisi, serving as evidence.
Additionally, authorities recovered materials used for packaging the drugs.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code, which carry penalties of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
