Police confiscate drugs, detain three individuals in Imereti

Officers of Zestaphoni and Chiatura Division of the Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), through operative-investigation activities detained three individuals, born in 1966, 1973 and 1981 on drug-related crime.

The police confiscated cultivated 230 plants of Cannabis from their agricultural plots and adjacent facilities as evidence. The detainees face from 6 to 12 years in prison.

Further investigation is in progress under Article 165 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
