PMCG Reports: Nearly one million people earned monthly salaries in September 2025, 2.6% rise YoY
In September 2025, a total of 985,975 individuals in Georgia received a monthly salary, marking a 4.9% increase compared to August 2025 and a 2.6% rise from September 2024.
This data was released by the international research organisation PMCG Research.
The study highlights that in September 2025, 33.6% of salary recipients earned GEL 2,400 or more per month, an increase of 0.5 percentage points from August and 5.6 percentage points from September 2024.
“In September, the proportion of earners with monthly salaries between 0 and GEL 600 was 12.5%, a decline of 1.0 percentage point from August 2025 and 3.0 percentage points from September 2024. Meanwhile, those earning GEL 9,600 or more per month accounted for 3.0% in September 2025, down by 0.1 percentage points from August and 0.7 percentage points from the previous year,” the report states.
Additionally, the organisation reports that there were 8,737 job vacancies published on jobs.ge in September 2025, an increase of 20.0% from August and 4.7% from September 2024.
Monthly, the most significant growth was observed in the Finance and Statistics category, which saw a 29.4% increase. Conversely, the Information Technology and Programming sector experienced the smallest decline, dropping by 11.9%.
Year-on-year, the Information Technology and Programming category experienced the greatest growth of 50%, while the Logistics and Distribution sector saw the most significant decline of 3.9%.
“Between July and September 2025, a total of 24,199 vacancies were posted, representing a 0.7% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. The largest declines during this period were in logistics and distribution (-4.5%) and administration and management (-4.4%),” the study notes.
Regarding the distribution of vacancies on jobs.ge by category, the figures are as follows:
- Between July and September, 973 vacancies were posted in the Information Technology and Programming category, representing a 33.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
- During the same period, 6,404 vacancies were listed in the Sales and Procurement category, up by 9.5% from 2024.
- In the Finance and Statistics category, 4,789 vacancies were posted, reflecting an 11.0% rise compared to the same timeframe in 2024.
