PM: Yesterday highlighted divide: peace seekers vs. those fighting to last Ukrainian; Global War Party reluctant to end war

“Yesterday once again highlighted the divide between those who seek peace and those who wish to fight to the last Ukrainian. The “global war party” and the Deep State are unlikely to easily give up the war,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated on social media.

According to Kobakhidze, it was proven once again that the USA and the “global war party” are two different entities.

“Yesterday, a clear divide was once again established between the war party and the peace party. I refer not only to the debate between Trump and Zelenskyy but also to the reactions that followed. President Trump and his peace efforts were consistently condemned by those who bear responsibility for allowing this bloody conflict to unfold—individuals who coldly sacrificed Ukraine and the lives of thousands of its people.

The “global war party” immediately mobilized speakers well-known to us against President Trump – starting with Jeanne Shaheen and ending with numerous officials from Brussels. The leaders of the Georgian radical opposition, who just a month ago were showing off ‘selfies’ taken in the back room of President Trump’s inauguration, were not far behind. Yesterday once again highlighted the divide between those who seek peace and care about the fate of Ukrainians and those who wish to fight to the last Ukrainian. The “global war party” and the Deep State are unlikely to easily give up the war.

It has once again been demonstrated what we have been arguing for three years: the USA and the “global war party” are two distinct entities. I want to remind you that our opponents have attempted to equate them throughout these years. The struggle between the war party and those who desire peace is entering a decisive phase. Let us hold onto the hope that this struggle will ultimately lead to peace prevailing. The sooner the war in Ukraine ends, the fewer Ukrainian lives will be sacrificed, and the sooner peace will be established throughout the entire region. I wish President Trump endurance and courage in this challenging struggle,” Irakli Kobakhidze concluded.
