PM warns number of detained individuals to likely increase

“The number of detained individuals will presumably increase. We were warning everyone that we had more resources to identify perpetrators. When such large-scale violence against state institutions, the response should be strict,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told reporters in Gurjaani.

According to the PM, all identified perpetrators will be held criminally accountable.

“It is logical to expect the increased number of detained individuals. Once again, I repeat that the government must not merely ignore such things. When such large-scale violence takes place against state institutions, the response should be strict to ensure that nobody dares to attempt the same in the future,” he said.
