Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced the launch of the second stage of the Dream City project in Batumi, the Adjara region.
The PM laid a symbolic capsule in the foundation alongside the Chair of the Adjara Autonomous Republic government, Tornike Rizhvadze.
Irakli Kobakhidze highlighted the project’s significance and remarked that it confirms the government’s assigning priority to the citizens’ welfare.
“This project is one of the outstanding achievements of our social policy that confirms our government’s priorities toward caring for citizens. Dream City is an unprecedented social project, which aims to ensure decent living conditions for fellow citizens,” Kobakhidze said.
According to the PM, the first stage of the project has successfully been completed: Three 12-storey blocs of apartments were built with 582 families already accommodated.
“We are launching the project’s second stage today which is of a larger scale and more ambitious. Based on the plan, 9 multi-storey residential blocs will be built across 19, 407 square meters and will provide living spaces to 1077 families. The new apartments will be fully provided with gas, water supply systems and necessary utility services,” the PM announced.
